What version do I need for QuickSilver support?

v. 5.1.0 or higher.

How do I configure /etc/inetd.conf and /etc/rpc for RPC calls?

The RPC daemon must first be entered into /etc/rpc (or NIS equivalent) and be given a number (420000 in this example).

On HP-UX 10.20 enter something like the following
/etc/rpc: slfrpcd 420000 slfrpcd /usr/local/bin/slfrpcd
/etc/inetd.conf: rpc stream tcp wait root /usr/local/bin/slfrpcd 420000 1 slfrpcd

On other UNIX systems, enter something like the following.
/etc/rpc: slfrpcd 420000 slfrpcd /usr/local/bin/slfrpcd
/etc/inetd.conf: slfrpcd stream rpc/tcp wait root /usr/local/bin/slfrpcd slfrpcd
